Could I request a Pet.
Alsa 1.0.2.4 with utilities.
It provides better support for audio in linux, and hopefully the pet would be useful for a lot of people who still use 4.3 xx

This is for the 2.6.30.5 kernel, configured for SMP (multi+uniprocessor) and the Puppy 4.3.1
(I am using the jrb barebones version, if that makes a difference).

Thanks if anyone can help on this.

Hi Musher,
thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction for this .pet!
Things move so fast in the world of Puppy development that I forgot about the little JRB 431 barebones version. I will see if the Alsa upgrade will work.
It should come up with a little slider on the mixer control that will change the sample rate, (the older alsa causes quirky usb soundcards to run at the wrong sample rate sometimes, and at least moving the slider will manually fix it).
Cheers!
