I like the idea of this app, but was wondering is there an option to remove entries added in the favorite folders box?
Keep up the good work.

edit list of favorite folders |

The first few entries are created by the program when it is
first launched. Then the rest of the entries are added from
the Bookmarks list of Rox.
If you want to edit the first few entries that the application
first adds, the best way is to find the hidden preference
folder in /root (called .quick_launch) and modify the first few
folder names with a text editor.
The other folder names you can modify using Rox
by changing the rox bookmarks.

If you're a programmer it's easy to change the list by modifying
the lines at the beginning of the program.

New version Quick Launch 1.6
Now it can launch an application as well.
The first time you launch Quick Launch,
it will take some time to create a list
of favorite folders and a list of
favorite apps... about 3 seconds on my
older machine..... but the next launch
should be snappy.
Note when using this on Fluppy Linux:
After you first install the pet package,
then you should launch SVEN.
At the bottom of SVEN's window you will
see 'quick launch' listed. Just select and press
the 'Apply' button'
Now Fluppy will use Ctrl shift L as the
key launch combination to launch Quick Launch!
Most version of Puppy should automatically recognize
the key combination for launch.

-This is a small bug fix. I noticed that xournal wouldn't show
on the Fluppy list of applications. I tracked down the bug
and fixed.

New version 2.0 o quick launch |

New version 2.0 of Quick Launch
New version makes the partitions more understandable for
users.
A reminder for users of Sven --> after installing
Quick Launch , you launch the configuration application
of Sven , choose 'Quick Launch' and then click the Apply button.
Ctrl+shift+L will now launch Quick Launch!!
Sven is used in Fluppy Puppy.

In woofing, I have noticed that cumulative pinstall.sh does not go to the end. I tracked the stopping pinstall.sh and I found that pinstall.sh in quick_launch pet does end to the exiting statement: exit 0
It is not compatible with woof. It causes that the pinstall.sh stack (combined as one big pinstall.sh) ends abrutly to that statement. When I removed it, the pinstall.sh goes to the end and I get the "End of pinstall.sh" message.
I suppose you should change the exiting statement to something else, so that woofers dont rub their heads

version 2.6 quick launch |
|
Version 2.6
1) Fixed a problem with the listing of partitions
that I introduced in version 2.5
2) I now close all Rox windows when the 'Close Rox'
button is clicked.
Note that Rox filer must be the file manager.
A few oddball distros use Thunar or some other file manager.

version 2.7 of quick launch |
|
version 2.7 of quick launch is available
Now warns user the first time it is launched
that it will launch quicker next launch
The reason why it is slow the first time...
When it is launched ----> It searches through the .desktop files for
the exec line. It makes a list of applications from these lines.
The time varies depending on how many apps are installed
on your machine. Maybe 3 seconds to 7 seconds.
It is very fast in subsequent launches.

April 7 version 2.8 Added clock to quickly tell time
I saw a need to find the time quickly in Enlightenment WM
so I put the time in the front window. This avoids putting it in a
panel which squanders valuable space if you have a 800x600 screen.
This is common in netbooks.
Here's a picture...
