Dpup Exprimo 5.X.3.2.14.2 has been uploaded. This version fixes the drive icons alphabetical order, tempicon tray app error message, gtklp printing linkage to mtPaint has been restored and the image printing from mtPaint works now...it is still not straightforward. I will create quick uploads if there is still something weird after my hazardous hdd failure.

Another option is to hook mtPaint into PeasyPrint.

3. From mtPaint. Go to File > Actions > Configure > Print image. Change the command to "peasyprint %f".

Thanks. I will test.

@ rcrsn51

How about symlinking gtklp to PeasyPrint, to get rid of gtklp?

Cheers!

I suppose Peasyprint does not need gtklp at all. But is the script-code gtkdialog4 compliant ?
I do not have gtkdialog3...only symlink.

Have you tested it yet? It worked fine for me in 3.1.10.1

I installed it and configured the mtPaint to use and tested that it launches. But I am atm processing packages with woof and I havent dared to test the printing. I have got gtklp couple of times freezing my machine so....
But if it did work with previous dpup exprimo...then it should work with this one. Will test the printing soon.

Edit. What the heck. I did print with it and it works just fine. Much better than lousy gtklp.
I have removed gtklp from the specs and added Peasyprint instead. Great. Thanks !

Hi,

Thanks James C. I will start fixing the missing stuff.

Meanwhile I created Conly Lua for dpup from my previous work...battleshooter work and Jemimah work.
Here is the result in my desktop. I do like it.

About the aspect of the "zodiacal dish" background on a desktop: using Nathan wallpaper Setter, here cannot got anything but something looking as an egg shape.
That's OK on a laptop display.
Is there another way to get a nice circular shaped dish than an egg shape?

Thanks for any reply!
Cheers, Charlie

Try this version. The rounded objects are difficult. Barrys original script cuts off the extra and mostly ruins the background...when the extra is not cut off....the background will be distorted when the screen dimensions are different. This one might work better for you. It installs over the existing default.jpg.

Since the problems were solved in my frugal install I didn't upgrade to the latest version ..... everything still working well anyway.

Sub_title: configure compiling error

Hi,
I got this error while compiling xf86-input-wacom (not encountered on earlier dpup-exprimo versions ...).
config.log reports
Code:
/usr/include/bits/local_lim.h:39:26: error: linux/limits.h: No such file or directory
configure:3939: $? = 1
configure: failed program was:
| /* confdefs.h */

In attachment the complete config.log file
Thanks for any reply
Charlie
ps: thanks a lot pemasu for symbolpup-1024x768-walpaper.pet: works nice !

Yes. The devx sfs has wrongly configured linux_headers_DEV package. It installs to /include when it should install to /usr/include. I noticed this 15 minutes ago when I tried to compile kernel.
My kernel-builder script which I had to recreate from the template which can be found in murga-linux....has that bug and I didnt remember it and didnt fix it until now....

One side effect more when I did lose all my recent stuff....

I will recreate the devx sfs soon.

If you want to compile it in hurry...install this correct linux_headers_DEV pet.

The correctly build devx sfs for 5.X.3.2.14.2 has been uploaded replacing the previous one. The download url is in the first page. It is in the same folder with main iso.

I did test compile 3.3 kernel with it.

Running great on my desktop and laptop with intel i7 processors with usual software, including the latest NVIDIA driver.

However on an old Dell with an intel 2-core processor I do still have the tempicon tray app error message that others have reported.

Jim1911. That message reports to remove it. Do you get it again when you restart X ?
