Subject description: LibreOffice - OK to accept Update?

5x14 running well on two older laptops here - looks good - like the background!

I just loaded the LibreOffice 3.5 SFS and it's saying an Update is available.

Any reason I should resist accepting the Update?

Might it break something?

Hmm....I am not sure the update will succeed. It is possible it will just guide you to the page where to download suitable update. Usually linux versions comes with the distro and there isnt update mechanism by provider. But you can test....

Thanks futwerk. My wife told that the flower-peace-and-love-retro-70`s wallpaper is best Exprimo wallpaper ever. And she told me that if you want ladies to use Dpup you should put that as default wallpaper.... Very Happy

I like the current default background but what about menu of background thumbnails when it first opens?

Subject description: Adding streaming sources to PupRadio?

Anyone know if it is possible to add this to PupRadio?

http://www.christianrock.net/listen.asp

I tried and it didn't work.

I tried the several links I found by looking at Source Info

I'm in Lucid 528.005 at the moment but it should work in any PupRadio.

I used the Winamp link from the homepage
http://www.christianrock.net/CRDN/live/high.pls right-clicked and
copied it into PupRadio and made it a preset.......working fine.

My son also just showed me how to access online radio via pmusic - tons of them - including ChristianRock.net!

Subject description: LibreOffice3.5 & Seamonkey 2.8?

When I have Seamonkey 2.8 open and go to EDIT-PREFERENCES and try to change the HELPER APPLICATION for MS-Word .doc documents to usr/share/applications/libreoffice3.5-writer.desktop it will not set.

Should I point to something other than usr/share/applications/libreoffice3.5-writer.desktop to make this happen, please?

Thanks!

/opt/libreoffice3.5/program/soffice
or
/opt/libreoffice3.5/program/swriter

Subject description: Pop-up's off-screen?

In Seamonkey E-mail setup ("View settings for this account") on my Samsung NB30 Netbook I notice that the pop-up window extends beyond the screen limits at the top and bottom.

I cannot grab and drag it so as to see what it out of sight.

Is there a setting where I can fix this, please?

The display for a regular window works fine.

Thanks@!

Subject description: Adobe AIR Document?

Is there a way to save a document with PHP at the end of the URL and when one tries to save it from inside the browser interface it says that is needs to install Adobe AIR to save?

This is the electronic version of a magazine to which I am subscribed.

I'd like to be able to view it at my leisure via LibreOffice or some other Linux-based app.

I tried a search and read that Adobe dropped Linux support for AIR ...

WDYT?
