How to run Hacao 1.06 without CD ?

Hi

My friends ask :
"I want to use Hacao 1.06 (Puppy 1xx) but i do not have CD-Rom, only have ISO file and Windows XP, DOS"

I do not know how to ? :lol:

Hi, If they have a USB port on their computer, you could make puppy on a usb drive. If you have puppy linux, go to the Menu "Start Button" and go to Setup and look for Puppy universal installer. And follow the easy steps. Make sure the USB drive has enough space. If you have any more questions, send me a message.

EDIT: Ok I see, you onlly have windows XP... ok. Sorry.
Follow these instructions near the bottom of the page, it seems complex, but you can do it! If you can install puppy and follow the instructions above, you can do the USB methood. If you need anymore help, feel free to ask me.

wouldn't it be safer for your friend to use the latest puppy, 2.02, which can read/write to XP file system. then you could just extract 3 files from the iso to the hard disk( vmlinuz, pup_202.sfs & initrd.gz), using windows software like winiso, or with a linux boot floppy & mounting the cdrom to a virtual file system.
