Always, this area's grey for me but we can check if Bluetooth's running.
Go into system >> bootmanager configure bootup.. it should be- running.
*Or if so inclined: ps -Al | grep -i bluetooth from a shell..
Then if you open a shell'n type: hcitool -i dev
.. is there output?
Yes? Then: hcitool scan and post the results.
Failing these, do we have a listing if we enter: lsusb
By the way, Bluez is in Lucid's PPM.
For now though, you can leave what's already installed alone-e..

"Typed: hcitool -i dev nothing happened.." cause you haven't yet installed Bluez?
If you go into setup >> internet connection wizard and try one of the modem choices under "connect to," does Pup find your device and offer to continue with it's configuration?
How about system >> status >> hardinfo.. we have a Bluetooth listing?
What kind of a phone/device is this mobile of yours?

Like I said, this is grey area for me. What we need is some intervention...
Tell me though, is this dongle plugged before you boot or do you insert it after the system's up?
If the former, try the latter..
Guessing you might need a driver, is there output from this cmd: lspci -nn | grep -i bluetooth

sh-4.1# hcitool -i dev
Invalid device: No such device
sh-4.1# hcitool scan
Scanning ...
18:14:56:CA:9E:42 Yo
'Yo' is my mobile bt name so may be its connected ?
Tell me though, is this dongle plugged before you boot or do you insert it after the system's up? ==> yes dongle plugged before i boot , but the dongle is detected ,theres no problem with that the problem is how to connect to the internet using bluetooth for mobile's GPRS plan .. ? !!
edit : it asks for pan in 2nd not 3rd option that's not working tho ..

Did that scan list a phone on the end?
Did this return a device?
| Code: | | lspci -nn | grep -i bluetooth |
Try this. Open a shell and:
| Code: | | modprobe ppp_generic |
.. then try:
.. again. Different?
Can I see this:
| Code: | | ls -l /etc/bluetooth |
.. and this:
Then tell me what this does:
Nothing?
Did you install dbus?
Make sure you respond to each of my queries..

Always- while the hciconfig looks promising, let's take a step back and adjust our sails, OK.
Uninstall anything you might've installed from Jemimah's post and post back when you're ready.
==
If you haven't rebooted since your last visit, I'd suggest you do so.
And since I'm unsure which of the five ppp_* modules, if any, your phone might need I'll suggest you plug your phone in after this boot-up, then give us a copy'n paste from the output of the following cmd:
Beyond this I'm guessing your phone has to be set a particular way for all this to work.
I'll be back with more..

Go into PPM (Pup-pkg-manager), clk to install Bluez, then examine deps.. show me what's listed with a screenshot.
In addition I'd like ya to fire this from a shell and tell me whether or not it says "no devices detected.."
By the way- you've got a pm wait'n for ya..
*If you're aboard Firefox, close it and restart from "utility" >> "gexec" with: firefox -safe-mode
I'll send another...
