Then dump it to file: lspci -nn | grep -i network > lspci.txt
It'll be in your /root folder where you will be able to c/p.
What about the "connect" icon.. what did it say?

trying to be helpful, but you have give specific info. Include program names, and exactly where you got them (web address please!). If there is an error, say exactly what you tried, and what the error was. This will probably require taking notes as you go.
Otherwise all we can offer are lousy guesses.
what happens when you try to cut and paste as I outlined?
Sometimes if a program doesn't appear in the menu, you can open it by going to the terminal and typing the program name (which might require some guesses)
It looks like there is a way to run tor as a portable app (yet another way to install programs!). I'm not positive if this will work, since I don't use tor

| Code: | | lspci -nn | grep -i network |
And goto connect >> by network interface..
Does Pup list both a driver and interface? |

i went in to package manager, hit up date and got a list of pups to download, picker half a dozen and hit go, it then gave me a box with 4 buttons on it, i clicked one at random, a yellow box came up with a lot of fadst moving writing, i conformed down load and it installed them, then a box came up saying you package has been successfully installed but no entry was made in the menu ?
its not one its 6 or more that have done this, making me suspect there is a box somewhere with them all in, i one a or two did install and put a menu entry in
the question is less about the wi fi, as where the hell are all these pups ?

Does your Pup desktop look like mine or are we on two different systems?
My package manager doesn't have an update feature..

what about tor, is there a pup package for it does any one know |
I recall that there was a tor plugin for some of the browsers (I know that one existed for Firefox). Firefox might be too much browser for your limited RAM, however.
Edit: another thread going on about tor:
