PostPosted: Wed 02 May 2012, 16:12    Post subject:  Latest SLACKO - an Unofficial Announcement

For the first time in 2012, one community member has taken a rather provocative step to build a distro that has a theme of "Ready for LAN-Internet Use".

The community member who is providing us with a visionary product is 01Micko. And his latest SLACKO comes OOTB, where, to be fully operational, you need NOT install anything for local, LAN, Internet and email usage. Again, a newbie coming from a MAC/Microsoft platform need not do ANYTHING and the latest SLACKO has everything he was accustomed to...properly, with power and with stability.

This is the first 32bit distro that is designed to run on most any PC built since 2006. It has all of the components of, say, a MAC or Microsoft PC presents. AND, it inter-operates with them such that any device that works with those PCs will also work with 01Micko latest SLACKO distro WITHOUT EVER INSTALLING ANYTHING TO SLACKO.

This is the most complete Puppy distro, ever, by features never attempted in a 32bit PUP platform before now. It embraces the Puppy framework, as it adds subsystem services unheard of in this community. These subsystem services are subtle in their existence, yet, they are far-reaching in how this distro extends itself into the LAN and inter-operates with every local LAN device one might have at home/office.

It, in my position, is the very first Puppy which presents itself provocatively to everyone on the LAN, in a very simple manner. And, NO user of this distro has to have any learning curve to be LAN useful with whatever files, folders, information, or media that is present from this distro. OOTB, They are a part of the LAN and they can share and use information in much the same ways that MACs/Microsofts have been doing for years. All of the necessary services are, SIMPLY, present, available and active.

Thank 01Micko, THANKS. For, this is not just another distro....This RAM based system is a "Work of Art"
