Always- should be in package manager, no?

If it's not there- you must configure PPM.

Follow these steps TO THE TEE!

==

Open PPM.

Go to "configure package manager."

Tick the ones in my first screenshot.

Clk OK, then exit PPM.

Open it back up and again go to configure.

This time- <and this is gonna take some time> hit update.

It's preferable you don't have much else running during this stage.

Hit ONLY enter for each repo the dialogs ask you to update.

Do NOT quit. It's important you let this process finish.

When all done <sometime within the next hour>....

You'll have a functioning PPM full with new packages to choose from.

==

When choosing pkgs- make sure you always clk the dependencies tab (second screenshot).

In the window that follows (third screenshot), all dependencies will be checked.

Here, always clk the second button over- "download and install selected packages."

This will ensure <for the most part> a functioning pkg.

That's all there is to it.
