Then for the moment we'll stick with 214v10. You won't need modprobe and the drivers are there.
Open the connect icon on your desktop.
Clk the third button down- connect to network interface.
Clk load module.
Clk "load" and wait for confirmation.
If it says no new interfaces were detected- simply hit cancel.
Go to load module again and load the next down.
Repeat the process for each 3com driver.
I'm guessing it was one of these that had you on the internet with Pup 2.16.

thanks all
just tpo give some feedback
thats not too bad at all, its slower ie uses more ram than the 216 i tried, but is a lot easier to set up
a coule of elimentary questions please, ive downloaded a few pets, well it was so easy and now its saying my folder is full, how do i a) enlarge it
or
b) delete some of them
i cant actualy find where they are kept
and
the prvious swap paricion on an external hard drive wont regocnise every time, some times it does, but more often it defaults to a swap file left from another installation that it set up all on its own, the original v1 which is still installed

If you've been downloading with Seamonkey- check /root/my-documents.
Pfind's another option for finding where things were placed..

From, I'm guessing your console icon- these two commands, one at a time, each followed by clking enter:
| Code: | fdisk -l > fdisk.txt
df -h > df.txt |
These'll create two files, one named fdisk.txt and the other named df.txt.
Find'm in your /root directory and attach'm to the forum with your reply..
