keyboard shortcut on Slacko 5.3.3 (SOLVED) |
|
I use shortcut keys extensively. I want to start my Chromium (default) by entering window(or Super)+"w" keys. I have this on my main PC running CBang.
Reading Jww keyboard configuration manager, it does not seem to have Super key equivalent. Anyone know what I need to do?
thanks,
gychang

Hi,
If you have a Browse icon on your desktop; right click it, now left click "Edit", now left click in the "Keyboard Shortcut" box, now press and hold down the Win key and choose any free letter say, c, then release both keys. Now Hyper+c should appear in the box and the shortcut should work.
If you don't already have your default browser icon on your desktop, and/or you still have a problem - just ask.
My regards

Hi again,
It seems you have a frugal installation, and possibly plenty of hard drive space - so you could just move all seamonkey and mozilla folders to mnt/home/links (if you were to first make a folder named links - or whatever) and then move them back to their original locations using Absolute Links.
You can use Pfind (from the Filesystem menu) twice typing first seamonkey and then mozilla and then note or remember the locations of the folders so you can effect the moves in the first paragraph above.
The linked folders (one is likely to be a dot/hidden folder) will appear in your save file, but they will not use any space there and you will still be able to use SeaMonkey.
As regards speed and efficiency, initially for a test period, try leaving any slow-loading applications minimised to your System Tray after use (keeping an eye on RAM usage, perhaps running "top" or "htop"). They should be reusable instantly with single clicks.
My regards
