Fatdog64 Touchpad\Keyboard Issue |
|
I have been a Puppy User since 2008. I love FatDog as it works great in my laptops (Acer AO722, Thinkpad Edge (both AMD 64-bit dual core) and my Thinkpad T-60. I can fully use Wary & Slacko, & my favorite is Racy (but I get a black box when I try to use retrovol & thus cannot get sound).
FatDog gives me speed in my 64-bit Acer AO 722 (AMD C-50 dual core) BUT in every release I have the same problem, a keyboard entry problem. I suspect the problem is the more modern Touchpad. It is too sensitive to enter text. What happens is the cusor suddenly jumps during typing, even without brushing the touchpad in anyway.
In other Linux dustros, I've been able to end the issue by turning off the touchpad which I dont use anyway.'ve been able to revolve thehe issue in other Puppy's but not for FatDog64
When I try to turnoff to turn it off in the newest Fatdog, Im not allowed to use the "settings". I am blocked by a message box that reads something about synaptics. Obviously, I do not need synaptics drivers because the touchpad works and is very sensitive.
Any ideas how I can shut down Touchpad?[/b]

I wonder if there is a module you could blacklist to prevent the touchpad working?

If your touchpad is super sensitive then it is most likely not detected as touchpad but as a regular mouse device.
Please do these 2 things:
1. Attach here the output of /proc/bus/input/devices.
2. Launch mtpaint, choose image/preferences, click "Tablet" (last tab on the right), click Configure device, then click "Device" again on the new dialog box.
