GUI Designers for Puppy Development

#1 Post by mistfire »

Is it possible to develop a GUI Designer for Developing Puppy Interface for more accurate and precise designing interface for puppy?. I noticed that the GUI design in puppy was not yet fully consistent because i noticed that there are some button appeared that was not needed on that interface such as Maximize button appears on Dialog boxes which is commonly disabled on dialog boxes or none at all on message box.

Might be the window manager? :?

gtkdialog
xdialog
xmessage
gxmessage
Zenity
Yad
ect......

Don't know about any GUI for GUI apps?
But there is an good how-to's for gtkdialog in the programing spot. :D

Not to sound mean BUT are you SURE its not - The Window Manager ? :?

I'm an EvilWM user - i get No window decorations. :D
maximized button in Dialog boxes
so I'm not that helpful because none of my dialogs have window decorations.

except for:
(Chrome web browser has window decorations built in)

Yes, I think some window managers don't support hiding those buttons on dialogues.
And I agree with harii4's implication: Chrome/ium is evil in this sense ;)
Rather like MS Office and other "Ribbon" based programs

I still don't really understand why people want to prevent maximise and resize in dialogs. But I do find myself very annoyed occasionally by dialogs that aren't resizeable but should be!

There is "BaCon Gui" and "tinyide" and things like Geany and Anjuta. I don't know whether they'll have whatever feature you are actually looking for though.
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here
