I have updated the SFS to Opera 11.62 (build 1307).

This is another preview snapshot with a few minor bug fixes. If you have previously downloaded a build of 11.62, and you are happy with it, there is no urgent need to download this build. You may prefer to wait for the final release of 11.62.

See first post in this thread for more information.

Works well in both Lupu 528 and the versions of Slacko 5.3.2.x I've been testing recently. Having Opera as an SFS together with using Opera Link is actually very convenient for testing purposes. Thanks!

The Opera SFS always crashes at quitting, but now the screen turns black everytime this happens. When I click 'Do not send report' I get the same dialog and the screen keeps black, I have to restart X to restore the desktop.
I'm using Racy 5.2.90, UTF-8 is turned on... Now that I remember, the black screen happens after I install and use some GTK themes, in a fresh new save-file with no extra eye-candy Opera crashes at exit, but X remains as usual.

vicmz,

Are you using the latest version of the SFS (11.62 build 1347)? I have tested it with Racy 5.2.90 with UTF-8 and language en_GB. It runs without any problems for me.

LATER: Flashplayer has now updated to version 11.2.202.228. I suggest you use this.

The problem had to be with other applications I was using. I made a new save-file without those, now I can use the Opera SFS as usual. Thanks. :D

I have updated the SFS to Opera 12.00 Beta 1 (build 1387).

Although it is a beta version I have found it very stable in testing. Streaming video now works on sites where it did not work using previous versions.

I've just noticed that Opera 11.64 has been released, it would be great if you can release an SFS for it.

I have moved on to Opera 12.00 beta which is stable and has useful new features. I expect that the final version of Opera 12.00 will be released fairly soon so I do not plan to make an SFS of Opera 11.64.

I have updated the SFS package to Opera 12.00 Release Candidate (build 1450).

You may prefer to wait for the final version which should be released soon.

Flashplayer not working

#94 Post by MagicZaurus »

Using the latest Opera 12. Seems that Flashplayer is not working. On YouTube just a black box, where usually the video is displayed, Under Preferences it can be seen that the Flashplayer is recognized in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so.

Using Wary 5.3. As this is the first time trying Opera, I don't know if this always has been a problem or only with the new version 12.

In SeaMonkey the Flashplayer works without problems.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

MagicZaurus: Flash works OK for me running Opera 12.00 on Wary 5.3.

Which version of Flashplayer are you using? Try my 2 different pets for newer or older hardware:

For what it's worth, no flash problems here using your Opera 12 sfs in Lucid,Slacko and Exprimo. Using the older Flash 10.

EDIT:
Just booted into Wary 5.3 .....no flash problems with the Opera 12 sfs.

Still no Flash

#98 Post by MagicZaurus »

Sorry for the late reply. Was sick and busy the last few days.

Flash still not working for me with Opera. I deleted my save file to be sure that this is not the source of the problem. Then started with a standard Wary 5.3. Only selected the Opera-SFS for loading during boot and tried the latest Flash 11 series and Flash 10 series. Both with the same result. Only a black box in YouTube.

Using SeaMonkey everything is fine.

I started Opera from the command line with the option -debugplugins, but there is no error message shown at all.

I'm running X.Org 1.3 with driver intel.

The entry shows the following.

PREF: f1=40000000&fv=10.3.183

I'm currently having the Flash version 10 installed, as I thought that might help.
