Where can I download teenpup with agere modem support? The places to download have gone.
I read the teenpup can support some winmodems. Also, since I can't burn it to cd, how do I do a frugal install*. I can use 98se or xp. I have a dual boot set up with xp sp3. Here is the versions I have on cd. Puppy 1.07, puppy 4.31, I might have puppy 2.17 z???.
Do you need to install puppy Linux's first, then install teenpup.
Thank you for this information in advance.
Puppy 4.31 modem detection does recognize the modem, the dialers don't. Included the command line wvdial. I have even tried a wvdial.conf file-no luck.
Thank you for this information in advance.
*I read the before, I lost the link to that.

Wary 5.3 has Agere modem support (there are a number of Agere variants...)
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/quirky/wary-5.3/wary-5.3.iso
There is guidance on frugal installs:
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/installationfrugal
However in simple terms what you need to do is copy 3 files (vmlinuz, initrd.gz and the .sfs file) from the iso into a directory on your chosen boot device/partition. You then need to setup the boot parameters to boot this new system - grub4dos does this for you - its in the setup menu on most puppies. It's a frugal install because it can co-exist with other os's and does not take over a full partition.
Cheers

Sorry, my eyes are going.
I first read that as anger management support.

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=483889
You would need only:upgrade_pack_4.3.1.1-20110905.pet
agrsm-all-20100106-patched1-k2.6.30.5.pet I would be interested to know whether they help you.
