I don't remember where I took it from, so I just uploaded it here.

Hi vicmz,

In the last two screenshots you posted, what was the name of that font you used? - and do you think you could possibly make it available here for download? That was one VERY attractive font! Perhaps one of the best I've seen since the "Cherry Cream Soda" jemimah used in Saluki! 8)

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give! Muy muchos gracias me hermano de Puppy! ;)

Cheers/Amicalement,

'Orbitron'. I think it's built-in in Saluki, but there's a PET available in the Saluki repository, it's a collection of fonts. Not all of the fonts work as system fonts, try and see which ones work and then choose what you like. I recommend to set font size through Menu > Desktop > Set global font size, you can also do it from the GTK theme chooser GUI but the font may not work if its size is set to 12 or above.
Have fun!

Finally got around to installing puppy on my home system 'again'... been to busy to really get into it. I'll be doing my typical gui editing over the next few weeks... but right now its mostly the way it is on a stock LHP64 install.
Hopefully the 'after' screenshot looks better than the 'before' lol.

Plans include switching over to openbox, I keep lxpanel, but add wbar into the mix. Gkrellm will remain, fonts will change, perhaps a fresh icon set (though Im not really sure on that one). Would love to get into some slick theming, but im not really skilled at that.
Stu will no doubt put to shame whatever I come up with. lol
I'd like to set up a conky lua system monitor thingy, but ive only glanced at the code before, so I dont know if I'll really want to dig into it that much.

WOW Warmock! You should package that theme up and offer it under "Eye-Candy" for those of us running metacity/fbpanel as well! That is one fantastic theme! Simply stunning! Who would ever believe that a small distro like Puppy could look this beautiful like the "big boys" in town anyway?

Thanks for sharing that view Warmock. I really appreciated!

Thank you, Eyes-Only.

Well the DE is not finished yet. I still need to add a proper conky UI before I can wrap up the package and consider this sub-project for K-9 done. ;)

EDIT:

Added conky bluelua, and edited it a bit (thank you for the advise pemasu!): http://img864.imageshack.us/img864/6194 ... 072012.png

It's still Beta 5, as I haven't been working on K-9 for over a year now. I need to finish my work on the last 3 sub-projects (Desktop Environment, IntroWizard chain, full multi-user support and management) before I can release K-9 Linux 1.0.
