Use Sony (Logitech?) EyeToy camera with Puppy |
|
Well, I managed to find one of these for less than 50 cents ( ), so I was wondering if I could somehow get it to work as a webcam under Puppy 4.3.1.
I did find this topic, but the base website link amigo provides for the driver just ends up at a long-since spambot-overrun wiki, and the source code download link buried within all that spam text seems to be a dead link.
Or is there possibly a way to try to get it to work without installing another kernel driver (in other words, does 4.3.1 have any support for any webcams out-of-the-box?).
(Edited, because I didn't know something would trip the word filters...)

Just curious what
Code: | cat /proc/bus/usb/devices
|
says about that camera in Puppy 4.31. Maybe iit will shed some light in your thread for better proficient Puppy members better than me to respond to your thread.

Thanks. I'll try to get around to looking at it. I don't think I have anything around/installed that actually uses a webcam, though, unless Puppy includes something by default (isn't gtkam for regular digital still cameras?).
