I downloaded a knoppixslim.zip file and tried to open it in Lupu 528-005
and nothing did happen.

Could the .zip file be too big? 2 or 3 gigabyte and my RAM is only one GB?
I downloaded it from here.

Maybe it was bad download. This way is good to have md5sum information related to the downloaded file. Try to download the archive with wget.

Try to open xarchiver from the start menu or what ever archiver you use and then choose from it to open the zip file and point to the location of the zip file. It should give you some message way it can not open it.
I think the problem should not be related to your amount of RAM.

By the way archive with knoppixslim is 3 Gb large... One more reason to love puppy Smile

The larger a file is the more likely it will be corrupted when downloaded, multi-Gigabyte is a huge file.

Sometimes an MD5 checksum of the file is given so you can check it has downloaded without corruption.

Yes could be bad download but I did do it twice different days.
I have deleted all of it now and will only try it again if somebody
else recommend that remastered Knoppix
I set it as solved

Open up a terminal and do: `unzip filename` so you can see what the trouble is.

Any suggestion what zip file to test on?
I will not download that 3GB file again.
But if you know one that is less than 300MB
then I may consider it. Are you saying I should
write exactly what you wrote there.

doesn't one need a path or something or to open up
terminal in the directory that the zip file is in?
