Remastered Lighthouse CD won't boot (Solved)
Re: Lighthouse Remaster
Hello Arun,
Which version of Lighthouse, please? (type 'ver' in a terminal)
How far into the boot process did it fail, do you recall any error message?
Ensure that the original Lighthouse CD can boot from the same optical drive.
Did the Remaster Script complete, and have you tried just creating an ISO image file, then burning that with Pburn or K3b, instead of letting Remaster do that? In ROX-Filer, right-click the .iso -> Properties to see if 'Contents' indicate 'Bootable'. If the ISO needs changes, with Menu -> Multimedia -> CD/DVD Burning -> ISOMaster you can edit the ISO as desired, save to a new ISO and then burn.
The latest version of LIghthouse64 5.14.2 has a number of bug fixes applied to the remaster script, but I can't guarantee it will work for any configuration. (The script is /usr/sbin/remasterpup2.)
