Running Slacko-5.3.3-SCSI on brand-new up-to-date hardware.
[4GB RAM]

1. Downloaded both the jre SFS, and the vidmaster PET.

2. Made the mistake of installing both using petget.

3. "Menu->Multimedia->VidMasta 12.4" appeared in the menu.

4. Clicked it to run, but nothing showed.
Tried typing "vidm" in the console, and hit <Tab> twice, but nothing was listed,

5. Used "Menu->Setup->Setup Puppy->SFS-Load on-the-fly" to load jre.

6. Tried running VidMasta again, but nothing showed.
I wonder if there's a problem with this Puppy?
e.g. See screenshot.

7. Will shut-down/reboot without saving session changes.
Made a PupSaveHotBackup prior to installing.

1. Yes, I used the jre SFS given by the link you supplied.

2. So I should save the session and reboot?
That's what I'll do, and report on the result.

3. DONE. Very Happy
"VidMasta" now runs.

4. I searched for any film.
"Baby Boom" for example.
Examples found.
Read the summary OK.
(a) Tried to watch the trailer; trailer not found.
(b) Tried "Watch (Source 1)", but got everything other than a movie to watch.
Got a warning dialog = "Update Java to complete action, or else go to"...[Gave a webpage URL, so I went there]
Got warning by WOT that the site has a bad reputation.
Got this warning at every site I tried.
(c) Tried "Download (Link 1)", and got a warning that the site may be fake, and did I wish to proceed.
I chose not to.
(d) Choosing "Download (Link 2)" made the Puppy OS drop to a command prompt.
Typed xwin <Enter> to get back to the desktop.

5. Any thoughts? Confused

hi sylvander

when you click watch, a site will open in your browser, with a selection of streams to choose from (with baby boom i get 15 streams). the first stream is usually sponsored so leave that and click one of the others to stream in your browser.

if you want to download it i would recommend using a stream downloader for your browser such as flashgot for firefox. as then you don't have to worry about the risks associated with torrenting. it's also quicker though not as good quality
