A great technology that I mentioned here
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=642541#642541
The problem is when Apple buy it and try and patent/close it off.
Boring stifling of competition and innovation.
To be honest I am more interested in second and third generation mind controlled interfaces . . .

I wrote to Leap Motion asking when they might have Linux drivers available. They were very non-committal. Here is their answer:
| Quote: | Leap does not currently support Linux but it is a platform that we intend to support in the future. For any news and updates about this can be found on our website, so keep an eye out.

Hi ravensrest, I've seen that in their FAQ.
The more demands they get, the sooner Linux support will be coming IMO.
Also, when they will have Mac support, porting it from a Free Berkley OS to Linux should be a piece of cake I presume.
Anyhow, this input device sends wifi or bluetooth signals to the PC which are similar, or close to the way a wireless mouse works.
Actually, they should have the driver inside the unit and send the same sigs as a wireless mouse, so it will be platform independent.
All my wireless keyboards and mices, even micro zob work plug and play, on Linux since the standards are bluetooth and USB.
Then some pattern recognition soft Linux supported for mouse movement interpretation like in gnome or KDE can assign patterns to comands...
Touch screen soft for tablets/phones could also be of use.
Although I have no experience in those fields, it seems to me that a small team of enthusiastic Puppyists could solve any prob we might encounter.

When they will want to use it on Android tablets, it will be Linux compatible, and I don't see why they would neglect that huge market share.
