Pykaraoke - revisited with Puppy 5.28.005 lupu Subject description: its not working .... hehehe |
|
Okies, ive revisited this, checked all the dependencies and nothing....
Has anyone had a go at getting pykaraoke going... a bit of help might be nice./.. as ive been using 5.28 for quite a while now and I don't really fancy going back to the 5.10 liveCd version just for pykaraoke....
I would go down the Ubuntu route... but Ive not had a lot of success with these and are I've read, they do bloat things out a bit and do not uninstall very well. last time i played with the ubuntu bits i realised it was a good idea to backup my .sfs
cheers
Andy x

pykaraoke - 510 to 528 lupu Subject description: works on a HDD full install, but not frugal |
|
Okies.... ive done a full install of puppy 5.10lupu and PyKaraoke - works fine - then upgraded puppy to lupu528.005 (latest) full install and pykaraoke still works fine. - I cannt create a live/usb version of this from the full install - I cannt get pykaraoke to run on a live boot of lupu528.005
very odd.....

Nope, no idea Subject description: Another day and no further forward |
|
Ok. I I've tried everything to get this working in 528 and nothing.... Something I have noticed is that the bigbass suppository has closed, and I cannt get the libsmpack I had before, that's the only things I can see why it's not working.... I've tried now going back to a clean live 510 and with the install files I listed before apart from the libsmpack being very slightly different, it's doesn't work... So I'm just stuck with the ISO I origionally burned with a working 510...
I'll keep playing, but I think I'm fighting a losing battle. I tried using the ubuntu version of pykaraoke, and it just, as someone has said before, bloats the system with loads of dependencies...
Anyone else playing and trying to get this happening?
