netbook screen Subject description: how do I adjust the brightness
I'm getting on pretty well with my usb-booting Lupu 5.2.8 on my Samsung NC10 netbook. But I can't find how to adjust the screen brightness. Before emigrating, Samsung's keyboard controls in XP were superb and I used them all the time. Now, I struggle to see in bright conditions, yet am dazzled in dim light. If there are any screen controls where will I find them, please?
I have another query, but I'll post under another topic head...
Hello! Usualy on netbooks, you only have to use the "Fn" button and the Left - Right arrows (in some cases it's Fn and F8 - F9 or something like this) to change the brightness. Give it a try! _________________ Christos Koulaxizis
Thanks for the post, koulaxizis. As I said the Samsung keyboard screen control are brilliant when using XP. In Puppy, nothing I've tried makes much difference. Altering values in Xorg's colour gamma calibration either made the screen paler or darker. But surely some adjustment is available.
