Kdenlive-0.8.3 (updated)

#1 Post by Announcer »

Needs Qt4, which can be obtained here.

Pet package
Sfs file
Md5sum

Files are compressed as .zip archives because my web hosting provider doesn't support .pet or .sfs file formats.

.

Hi,

A bit quiet in here.
It seems that either nobody is having probs, or nobody is interested.

I have something I need to get sorted.
I installed libaudio.so.2, and now get
# kdenlive
kdenlive: symbol lookup error: /opt/qt4/lib/libQtSvg.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZN20QGraphicsItemPrivate20focusScopeItemChangeEb

Maybe this came about when you shrunk the package?
Just a blind guess. :)

I installed your Openshot yesterday, and it is superb.
It surprised me that this didn't happen just as smoothly.

Cheers.

Kdenlive-0.8.2.1.pet

#5 Post by joesavana »

Hi folks.. Its been a long time since I've asked a question on the forum.

I'm trying to install Kdenlive-0.8.2.1 on a full install of Puppy Lucid 5.2.8.
I've downloaded the file which comes in as a .gz.

I've tried to use pupzip to extract the file expecting to end up with
a pet package I could install.

No matter what I try, I cannot get to a pet package with this
or any other Kdenlive download. I'm baffled.

I also tried the SFS version with KDE SFS on a frugal install.
That will run but crashes as soon as I load a video file.

Thanks in advance for any help on how to install Kdenlive
on a full install of Puppy Lucid 5.2.8

Regards,
Joesavana

That sounds like you are using wrong qt4 libs. That error message usually comes from that.

DId you download and used this qt4 ?

Yep. Should try rebooting, maybe?

Announcer - wasn't that what was his name -- Puppy Studio or so ..

But newer the less , Qt4 from Dpup/Exprimo might not work on Slackware/Slacko . I would hunt the Qt4 and its dependencies from Slackware Repo. I think Announser would have done it so.

http://slackbuilds.org/repository/12.2/libraries/qt4/

Or similar.

Excuse . Seems that Announcer could use your .pet on a version of Slacko-5.3.1 . Apparently Slackware have upgraded/recompiled an external lib like libstdc++ from 0.13 to 0.14 in the meantime, so maybe Slacko-5.3.3 now is missing the function.

Use the QT libs Pemasu linked to.

The end.
