[MUT] Not working anymore

#1 Post by Béèm »

All of a sudden I realize that MUT isn't working anymore.
I use ICEWM and so far had no problem.

Clicking on drives didn't do anything.

I found a MUT 0.07b tar and installed it via install (alien package)
Now when clicking on drives I get the window (empty) for some seconds and then it disappears.

Any idea how to get MUT back?
(pmount doesn't see my sda device)

run
mut
from a consolewindow, and post the results, please.

I think you need exactly the correct version, as Mut switched from TclTk 8.4 to 8.5 in the latest version.
What Puppy exactly do you use?

Switching back to JWM doesn't cure the problem either.
Same thing when running MUT from rxvt.

I have been watching TV a bit.

Downloaded and installed after having uninstalled the 0.0.7b first.
Same problem, but I found a debug version:

sh-3.1# sh mut-debug
mut-debug: line 3: 3114 Segmentation fault ./mut.tcl -debug >mut-debug-output.txt
sh-3.1

Following is the output of debug-output.txt

Info of the devices seems pretty correct.
But now even the window in which the info has to be displayed doesn't come.

Hm, no idea.
I think Jesse reads here too, but you might drop him a mail with a link to this thread.
Important would be to know, if you installed another version of Tcl.
I posted a version once, that has a program to choose between different versions, so a older version of MUT might work on your Puppy.
But I think the problem might be something else, so we first should hear, what Jesse has for suggestions.

Well after uninstalling the 0.07b and before installing the 0.1.1 I chechecked and found in /usr/lib/mut a tcl thing.
Couldn't it come from the livecd?

In anycase when installing the 0.1.1 I got the question to overwrite a bunch of files, which I did.

I start to have the feeling, that something is getting wrong with my pup_save file.
