sfs2pet tool?
This would be nice because then I have more room for more SFS files, but what about the problem of the savefile space limitations?
I would like this so then I can convert *.SFS files (that seem to be small than needed as a *.SFS) to a *.pet.
Suggestions?

sfs2pet tool?

This your request is the evidence/proof on the fact, that several people on different location at planet earth -and so in the universe too- may have the same ideas at the same time!
It's on the way!

I actually made one at the request (via PM) of gcmartin yesterday. It's undergone only minimal testing, but seems to work well enough.
You can get it from my website for now, but I'll probably make a thread for it and a few other little scripts later today or early tomorrow.

It works either from the command-line, with the command "sfs2pet <SFS file>", or can be invoked from ROX-Filer's context menu via a right-click on the SFS file you want to convert. (Just click in the pop-up menu where it says "Convert to PET".) If you do that a terminal will appear and run the command automatically- no user interaction necessary.
(Underneath, all it really does though is what GustavoYz suggested, above.)
