What Puppy are you using?

In recent Puppies, you can unmount a drive by clicking on the little X on its desktop icon. But do you want something bigger than that?

Hello, Thz for your answer i use puppy 5.2, but i need do it manually for a custom name, because that pc is using for user that before only use windows, and don't come the same people every time so explain them that the need to do right click and select "umount sdx" doesn't work, in this case, but if they see a button in desktop i supose that is a litlle more easy for they, thankz.

Here is what I have on my desktop:

1. Install the attached PET.

2. Go to the folder /root/my-applications/bin and drag the file "myumount" onto the desktop.

3. Go to the folder /root/my-documents/clipart and use the file "umount.png" as the shortcut icon.

This tool unmounts ALL the user-mounted drives at once, but that's usually what I want.

rcrsn51,

Thank you from me too!
In those versions of Puppy with desktop drive icons and no unmount button, often in my attempt to open the right-click menu for the drive, I would end up removing it's icon from the desktop.
So your unmount app will come in handy!

Glad to help. I have posted v1.1 that also unmounts optical drives (sr*) and floppy drives (fd*).
