Puppy Package Manager

#1 Post by Dutchdelta »

I tried to start the Puppet packet Manager via the icon on the desktop and via the menu.
It does not start but creates a very short message (cannot be read).
I am not quite sure if I changed anything. :)

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the pointer. Alas, no joy.

When you say install.. I'll assume you mean to the hard drive, correct?

Are there messages if you run: ppm from a shell (terminal, console)?

Hi Semme,
Slacko is booting from the flashdrive (usb stick) at the moment.

To my surprise both the packet manager icon and the ppm command resulted in a correct appearance of the packet manager. I rebooted to be absolutely sure, but the problem seems to be solved. :D
Thanks for your help!
