How to install LXDE?

How do you install LXDE on Puppy Linux? I have tried on both 528-004 Lucid and Precise Puppy Beta7. In both cases I have downloaded and installed all LXDE files, but cannot determine how to make it run. |

 Hello,
Since you didnt say what you did try, I`ll start at the top: From the desktop: "control-alt-backspace" will drop you out of xwindows to a terminal. type
or type

In /root/.xinitrc the last line you have to change to exec startlxde In /etc/windowmanager you have to replace the existing windowmanager (f.e. jwm) with openbox. Thank you. Startlxde works. Unfortunately, lxde precise puppy requires pae, so I cannot load it. |
