Sub_title: no sound from .pps		  
Hi Mick, frugal install, (dwnld yesterday)
Sound works everywhere except on .pps .ppt
files. Libreoffice impress shows file fine, otherwise.
Surely would appreciate help getting the sound.
This could become my only distro. Been on Mint11.

PowerPoint Viewer allows you to view and print PowerPoint presentations. You cannot edit a presentation with pptview. pptview is an Intel PE (i386-pc-pe) binary and requires Wine to run.

You may want to try openoffice.org-impress, which is free software and can also view and edit PowerPoint presentations.
