We released the new Iron for Linux 22 today, which contains all features and updates known from Chromium 21. The current version is 22.0.1250.0.

Main improvements:

- further improved speed
- Security fixes
- Mouse-Lock APIc

Download ( approx 40mb ) :

** NB I have attempted to make this into a SFS file as well but I it fails, if anyone else wants to convert this it would be great

Works for Precise Puppy

#2 Post by LoboGrande »

Just to let folks know, I've been using the Iron Browser Pets for Lucid Puppy 5.2.8 in Precise Puppy for a couple of months. Everything seems to work very well. The latest PET upgraded without a hitch.

please refer to my post at:

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=81881
#1 - it won't run, see attached
#2 - installation note says iron will be found under Internet, it is not under Internet but utility

what should I do to correct both problems?

will put this pet on (1) a fresh install of precise puppy-5.4 referenced in the post above and (2) an upgrad from an earlier version of iron on another laptop - how do you upgrade with your pet?

I will test this and report what did happen to me. I used the downlink
for the .pet as in OP.

So hold your breath while I start it up. :)

Edit. Here I am using this pet SRWare Iron-Version: 22.0.1250.0 Stable (Lucid 528-005) and it works well and had the Menu in Internet too.

so you have to describe exactly what you do for us to be able to help you.
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

Hi.

Downloaded, installed and seems to work in LazY Puppy. :)

Only thing is a message about my old (and now blocked) flash player (it's in the firefox sfs and it's currently also loaded).

I tested the .pet yesterday and it worked well
Today early morning local time I tested the now deleted .sfs
and that one worked well too so why did you have to replace it?
What where wrong with it? Sure I do download the new one
but would be cool to know what the differences are? :)

The old one didn't have a menu. The new one is also 7M smaller. I can knock off another 3M by stripping, but I didn't post it (for an SFS, it's probably not a big deal).
