Hello,
I hate the numerical basing..
Should be:
3=Slackware
4=T2
5=Ubuntu
6=Debian?
(Not 5.3 is Slacko.. Dumb to me..)
3 series (Slackware) ended at 3.01...
Plenty of room for Slacko as 3.02/03/04/etc...
T2 (Quirky?) could continue as 4 series.
5 series is Ubuntu based. IE Lupu, Napu, Drake, Precise, etc
6 series should be Debian, and hopefully with Pemasu at the helm..
This leaves each series # for their respective developers to continue, until *.9.9 to update the release..
Puppy # = Base release
So easy..
Puppy:
3=Slackware
4=Ts
5=Ubuntu
6=? (Debian please)
8= Arch?
9=Fedora?
We have not even made it to 10..
10=PUPPY.. (10 should be reserved for "compiled for Puppy .pet" releases...)
Easy huh...
Please???????
I know its a PITA now, but I asked a long time ago... When it would have been easy..
BK has kept his Ubuntu explorations within the 5 umbrella, but the Quirky T2 stuff should prefix 4 IMHO..
Just a LAST DITCH attempt to clarify Puppy..
What are Wary/Racy built from? T2 and Puppy?.. Barry`s brain?.. I run them and dont know.. (lame)

The upcoming clash between Slacko and Precise is a bit stupid but 01Micko did bag 5.4 first. Why didn't Barry bring Precise at 5.5?
There is little coordination between Puppy developers of the mainstream pups. They each do their own thing and that is how they want it. This numbering silliness is just one outcome of this policy. Bringing back problems that have already been solved (Broadcom anyone) is another. It aint gonna change.
