Possible corruption? If ext2- fsck the partition from a live boot..

In addition I'd compare my live boot xorg.conf to your installs..

Hi Semme

Navigare necesse est. - Thank You for reply. There was a corruption which I could not mend. Worst thing was not having access to internet because I could not provide a key without my keyboard. - So I did a new fresh full install.
I always use Puppy when I setup an old pc. If something goes wrong it is very simple to reinstall. - Bad thing is that I miss my work when I do a fresh install.
But using Puppy have learned me a lot about linux.

If you've been creating ext2's for your full installs, I'd end that approach altogether and stick with ext3/4 where corruption is practically non-existent. To add- it would have been beneficial <for you> to have detailed- that which could not be mended..
