@green_dome: Thanks!

I've just now begun my switch from Lucid 528 to Slacko 531, and I rediscovered a weird little thing. Java 7 does not work with LibreOffice 3.4.2, but Java 6 works just fine. It's something about LIbreOffice, though, as everything else seems to work just fine with 7u2.

I'll make a note of it in the main post, just so no one gets surprised by it.

I tried the 1.7u7 sfs in latest Slacko beta and it works great in Opera-12.02 and Firefox-16.0.1, thank you.

Just as a suggestion, take it fwiw, I would leave out the /usr/lib/seamonkey and /usr//lib/firefox plugin directories. 2 reasons.

1. in the main sfs or savefile /usr/lib/seamonkey or /usr/lib/firefox can be a symlink to /usr/lib/seamonkey-$version or /usr/lib/firefox-$version respectively. Then your directories will be hidden at the bottom of the layered stack.

2. MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH="/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins". This is set in /etc/profile overriding run-mozilla.sh (which isn't used in puppy anyways), making your added dir redundant.

Just a suggestion :) .

That was meant for the jre thread of yours, didn't try jdk but it may still be relevant, IDK.

Sorry

No need to apologize. If it was relevant to one, then it holds for the other. I've linked the browser plugin similarly in all my Java packages.

I'll take your advice for the next update. Thanks!

UPDATED to version 7u11

(I've finally incorporated 01micko's recommended changes to this latest package, and will include them in later versions, too, barring any reported errors, etc.)

Version 6u38 still available.
