From This Day Forth

#1 Post by Johnny Cache »

It's true that I haven't been posting on here much lately. And, yes, I may have had a couple of drinks.

But I'm tired of going by "Announcer" and "l0wt3ch".

From this day forth, you may call me "Johnny Cache"!

Really?
But I'm tired of going by "Announcer" and "l0wt3ch".
Uhh, a new (old) battlefield will be (re) opened?

Or is it just because of "a couple of drinks"?

...

Or am I completely wrong and you are TAfkaAandorI

Oh come on now RSH, what's the matter?

Having a bad day?

Or are you just jealous of my cool new handle? :D

Oh, no, no, no, no...

I'm so sorry but It looks like i've had problems to translate tired of going by "Announcer" and "l0wt3ch" the right way - by first reading/posting.

I just did not wanted to see a new battlefield opened against Announcer and his "commercial" activities/projects/posts etc.

I really do not intend to hurt anyone ---> especially NOT you ---> assuming you are (T)he (A)rtist (f)ormely (k)nown (a)s (A)nnouncer and/or (l)0wt3ch (even though it seems to happen from time to time  ).

So, if you are YOU...

- I like to have you here
- I appreciate your work a lot
- your work has been some great inspiration to me

Greetings from Germany

RSH

Btw.

The Studio 13.37 seems to be very fine. Unfortunately it has some graphical issues (desktop wallpaper and icons redraw f.e.) like most of all the newer puppies has on my computers. I will keep it until there is a need to buy some newer hardware.

Just to explain:

From my joining the forum date backwards it has been some 10 years ago since I've used English for talking and/or writing matters :D

Well I would be if I knew my password - be less confusion for everybody. (Maybe I should have just asked Flash?)

But the whole idea for this alias came to me suddenly last night, and it made me laugh, so I couldn't just waste a good idea like that..

@RSH: Thanks for clearing that up. :)

Thanks Chris! :)

That was a funny read, all these people going "it's too bad there's no Linux equivalent to Pro Tools or having a Mac" and "it's because nobody markets Linux!"

Talk about short-term memory.

Nooby is a nobody compared to Johnny Cash.
Send all your cash to Johnny Nooby has enough of it :)

I trust that some don't have anything against you personally
but a lot of us most likely did not approve of some actions you took
but John Murga AFAIK did give you a second chance so why not?

I don't mind if you are here and share your knowledge.
John decide on such. You're knowledge on Linux far
better than mine so that is much appreciated. Go for it Johnny!
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

Yes,one of the wittier handles, second to only one, when I come to think of it :D ...

And while I might have your attention, I've been meaning to ask about .mid; in slacko (5.3) I cannot play a .mid file - no sound at all.

Installed Rosegarden (only got some un-musical toots out of one of the devices(?) (lesser something synth, or something)) - how to get GM sounds? Is there something to be set in Jack? Or is the sound driver whacky?

Would really like to get Rosegarden working . looks similar to Cakewalk, in which I composed/recorded a lot of songs some ten+ years ago.

Cheers :)/ MHHP

I was going to say you were in luck, as I recently compiled the latest Rosegarden, and I could upload it as a .pet. But then I remembered that it likes the timer= kernel option set at 1000, so you'd probably need a new kernel. So I guess all I can say for now is to download Puppy Studio 3.3-rt, it's got Rosegarden working out of the box.

@puppyluvr: me and you and 01micko took on the haterz over at linuxmusicians.com. :)

@nooby: Thanks.
