Subject description: Char not inserted at cursor, frequent errors during file save)

Having some trouble here with Abiword 2.9.1 under Puppy Slacko 5.3.3. (Insert cursor not where the char appears, error in saving file, etc.) Seems to not be uncommon looking through postings here with some suggesting this being due to 2.9.1 being beta as 2.8.6 is the last stable version. I can’t find a 2.8.6 pet though. Can anyone help me?

You could try the lucid .pet here.

If it's no improvement just uninstall.

Abiword in general has problems.
If you want to do serious word processing get LibreOffice.

Use this program to get the latest version.
Get Libreoffice

I first tried the luicid pet, but could not get it to work.

Then installed Libreoffice 3.5.3 and that looks great.

Thanks.
