Unable to create a live USB Slacko

#1 Post by vmars316 »

Greetings,
I Need Help creating LiveUSB:

Method 1
I tried the 'Fedora Live USB creator' but it gets to a certain point then

The Log says:
Unable to get GetVolumeInformation(F:): (21, 'GetVolumeInformation', 'The device is not ready.')
slacko-5.3.3-4g-SCSI.iso selected
Verifying filesystem...
Extracting live image to USB device...
Wrote to device at 4 MB/sec
Creating 3016MB persistent overlay
extract_iso must be run before install_bootloader
LiveUSB creation failed!
extract_iso must be run before install_bootloader
Method 2
Also tried the universalInstaller in Slacko 5.3.3
I used the Usb default. Should I choose a diff option?
But it won't boot on win7 x64 Sony Vaio Laptop or Lenovo G770: Invalid device.

Thanks...Vernon

Luckily I stumbled across this site:
http://www.linuxliveusb.com/
LinuxLive USB Creator Powerful yet easy-to-use
A piece of cake!

I first had to install adobeFlash.
But I put it in Web-Server, and now seamonkey can't find it.
Pls, where should I install it ?
Thanks...vm

I used GetFlash [Install Flash Player] to install my FlashPlayer.
[The installer chooses where to install it]
I use Firefox; don't know if that makes any difference.
GetFlash came natively installed with Slacko-5.3.3.1, but if your Puppy doesn't natively include it, you can install [for example] getflash-1.2.pet [see it here and HERE]
