Hello

Just to say I've tested Wary Watcher on my network this evening and am very happy, thank you CatDude!

I've been running Zoneminder under a few Debian distros lately - Crunchbang and Lubuntu, using a cheap 4 port analogue capture card but started to question the reasoning behind running some old electricity-guzzling PC's (one old PC died, replaced by another..) so started to look around.

I have used Puppy before, and keep an older version on a 128MB mem stick to use when needed.

I will be replacing 1x old power-hungry PC & capture card + 4x analogue cameras with 1x newer PC which I happen to have here (no PCI slots..) and 3x IP cameras, adding a 4th later.

I'm even thinking of disconnecting the hard disk and running Wary from USB only (32GB stick for now)

So tonight, with the one IP camera I have (2x on order) I tried booting from a 1GB mem stick and adding the following into Zoneminder:

Source: remote.

Remote Protocol
HTTP

Remote Method
Simple

Remote Host Name
192.168.45.230

Remote Host Port
81

Remote Host Path
/snapshot.cgi?user=admin&pwd=****&resolution=32&rate=0

Remote Image Colours
24 bit colour

Capture Width (pixels)
640
Capture Height (pixels)
480

Preserve Aspect Ratio

Orientation
Normal

This works with the Tenvis camera I have on my network right now :D

I'll post more info & details about what I'm using once the system is set up with the other two cameras but for now wanted to give a big thank you to CatDude for this.

The (pay) app for iPhone - EyeZM - also works. You need to specify the full path http://the.ip.address/zm/index.php

Happy days!

Thanks again,

Ashley

Hi David

Yes its the same camera.

Tenvis themselves have a very good website with latest firmware & utilities

http://www.tenvis.com/

I found some excellent stuff on setting up the Tenvis cameras in Zoneminder from Glen Pitt-Pladdy, here: http://www.pitt-pladdy.com/blog/_201111 ... ac_setup_/

Regards,

Ashley

Thanks!

I made the error of buying one a while back that required ActiveX and thus was useless in Linux.
