There is an old AudioOverload .pet here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?mode=attach&id=31934
I've no idea if it can play 'chiptunes' .... but it supports many exotic audio formats, mainly those used in consoles and old computer games..

Also, you might try xmp or the two programs on this page. I'm sure there are others... just haven't looked into them, because I haven't worked with mod/it/xm/etc. files in years.

I'm using DeaDBeeF for this. It supports even C64's SIDs and Atari's SAPs.
Here's link to, inter alia, static portable builds (i686 and x86_64):
http://deadbeef.sourceforge.net/download.html
There are also some .pet packages on the forum, but they don't have libsidplay plugin included...
EDIT: my bad, just checked and OscarTalks' 0.5.6 build supports SIDs and it's smaller than the above builds.
BTW, great and really big collection of chiptunes (ripped from cracks, intros, etc.; that's why so strange filenames in my screenshot ):

You're welcome!
I used to make some tunes a couple of years ago too.
I even made GoatTracker.pet, here's Milkytracker.pet and OpenMPT works nice under Wine, but I have no "inspiration" at present to get back to it.
BTW, the "Frog..." one sounds hilarious.
Greetings!
