Where can I get a better shell terminal for Slacko?

#1 Post by jacatone »

I'm using Slacko 5.3. I'm used to a more full featured terminal than the one that comes with this distro. Can anyone recommend a better one? Thanks.

jacatone,

Karl Godt updated and packaged Sakura earlier this year. You can find it over here. It's believed to work with Slacko, although I don't know if anyone has tested this or not.

My username is pronounced: "mun-see". Derived from my surname, it was my nickname throughout high school.

I made a lxterminal pet in slacko 54, haven't tested it in 5.3 though.

Yes it works in Slacko 5.4. It is so good I think Sakura should be the default terminal in all Puppy versions.

Have you looked in Utility>Console ? If it is not there check /usr/share/applications/sakura.desktop and location of sakura.png.

How does Roxterm compare?

It's in this pet package along with a lot of other goodies:
