Hi, guys.
I've downloaded the latest Slacko .iso file, checked its md5 checksum, and burnt the .iso image onto a DVD.
My computer begins to boots Puppy Linux from the DVD (Slacko splash screen is displayed), and things look OK (a good handful of "done"s next to boot-up steps), but then the screen goes dark and nothing ever happens afterwards. It doesn't even get to the menus that ask about keyboard layout, country setup, etc.
I wonder if it's a video card compatibility issue or something... I have an nVidia card. What's ironic is that all I want to do is put Puppy Linux on my USB drive, so that I can use it on my older netbook, but aparently need my desktop to format and install Puppy Linux on the USB.
Any ideas?

Possible Workaround...
Just burnt Slacko "Opera" version with the same result... will try this next:

If successful, I"ll be able to boot from the drive on my netbook, which is what I ultimately want to do.

Workaround Worked!
Thanks for the link, rcrsn51.
The "work-around" did the job (the one in the YouTube video I referenced). But now I know what to try on my desktop if I need to.
Thanks again!
