I have a 4 Gb pendrive.

I am looking for an O.S. to run from my pendrive, be able to install new programs, save files, etc.

Can Puppy Linux do that ?

Yep, I have installed on an HP 4 GB flash drive, puppylinux Lupu 5.25 and carry it around with me all the time. Have computer will travel.
