Not sure about the error but I suspect there is some code in Puppy that rejects John Denver music.

Hello, Haut_Dawg!

I don't have a functional geany on this machine, but as I remember it, there should be a character code modifier under geany's sub-menu "save" or "save as".

Alternately, load your txt file in leafpad. In the save panel, it should offer a choice of character codes to save in.

Regards.

:D Playing with Openbox.
In my language there's this saying "El que quiere celeste, que le cueste" (Those who want it skyblue should work hard for it), but having my desktop the way I like wasn't that difficult. And I didn't use either Wbar or XFCE.

@vicmz

Thanks for the tip about pwidgets. I tried to get conky working the command line way, but alas, I'm not that good with command line yet..
Speaking of glitchy is there anyway to fix my weather widget to display the correct local temp?

I don't know, but you may want to post about this in the Pwidgets forum thread.

I haven't put up any screenshots in awhile. I found a really nice blue Conky, Ballon, by iacoporosso. It's informative and looks great.

Image

I liked it so much I edited it to be red. So Blue for Carolina 003 and Red for Carolina 004 ;)

Image

KDE Oxygen icon theme for the red screenshot and this awesome new icon theme I stumbled across called Nitrux. It's quite complete so that was a pleasant surprise. It's not everyday you come across an icon theme that is complete, looks great and isn't one of the common ones.

Hi josejp2424,
How do you start compiz in openbox, I thought it needs desktop environment like Xfce or lxde.

Compiz does not work with openbox.

However, compiz can work with any panel. You do not need any window manager as Emerald can handle that.

The latest Slacko-5.4 has a compiz sfs that can use a Rox or PCmanfm desktop, the choice is yours. the default panel is LxPanel, but there is nothing stopping you from using FBPanel, Tint2 or anything else.
