Wrong Resolution

#1 Post by 00xneedhelpx00 »

Ok so first of all you must know that I know nothing about puppy linux. Someone else has downloaded this onto my computer. That being said, I have 2 black bars on the sides of my screen. I tried going to the console and doing that wizard thing. I selected to change the resolution and it seems like it tries but then snaps right back to the small screen. Can anyone tell me how to fix this or if I can... in terms I can understand please :)

hello 00xneedhelpx00

can you provide more information, the puppy version and what machine you are using and what resolution you require.

when you run xorg wizard do you test the mode you require and it works?
