How to set UTF-8 as default in FF 17 in Lupu? [Solved]

#1 Post by nooby »

Seems easy when one know?
I am not sure but I by accident saw
Edit > Pref > Content > Font > Advanced > Default Cahr Encode
and seems to hold true. Would be nice I've longed for this for
some years now and been irritated each day :) So typical Nooby

Firefox 17 on Lupu 528-005
It always default to Western Iso-8859
while I want to have Unicode UTF-8

Sure I can go View > Character encoding
that becomes annoying each time I start up
FF.

Yeah I know this is Puppy help not Firefox help
but in case somebody know how to set UTF-8 to default?

I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

Edit>Preferences>Content>Default Font>Advanced>Default Character Encoding

Select UTF-8 in drop-down list and then click OK to save.

Does that work for you, Nooby?

Yes finally I have found a way. I have been irritated over this
for some 5 years or more. Embarrassing simple when one know.
Thanks I found out it myself more by accident.
