Writing over XP partitions with Puppy

Greetings,

Currently on my system I have WindowsXP and Puppy Wary 5.3. XP will stop being supported in April 2014, so my system will not be able to support Win7.

My question is, is there anyway for me to write over my XP install right now or do I have reinstall Puppy fresh? Here's where it gets complicated. I have a Gateway Solo 9100 laptop that has an old 8.4 GB limit, so in essence XP is on the C and E drives (where E is extended), so to translate that to Puppy - XP is on sda1 and sda5, and Puppy itself is on sda6.

Any ideas?

What do you want your system to look like after XP is gone?

Do you want to use sda1 for another Linux?

Do you want to have a single large partition just for Puppy?

Is your Puppy install full or frugal?

What bootloader mechanism are you using? Is your primary boot loader XP or GRUB?

First, Happy New Years to you and yours.

Basically I want the system to be a full install of Puppy Wary when XP is gone. Currently I have Puppy Wary 5.3, full install. Post XP - I just want Wary to occupr all of my hard drive. Granted I think I will have more than one partition due to the fact that I have an 8.4 GB limit (I have a 160 GB IDE HDD).

I am using Puppy's Grub4Dos as my bootloader.

I'm just wondering if I would have to wipe the hard drive and start all over again.
