Not frequently. I have experienced SSL certificate error while logging www.facebook.com etc. This may be occasional glitch. Anyway I am extensively using Slimbrowser. Thank you all.

FlashPeak has just posted SlimBoat 1.1.20. Maybe you can try it out and see if it makes any difference.
By the way, where did you download this Arch Puppy? I might install it and try it out sometime.

I just downloaded archpup-12.12.2 from this forum post: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=671851#671851 . Extract slimboat_i386.tar.xz (v1.1.20) together with the gstream libs listed on http://www.slimboat.com/en/dlpage.php . It runs fine for me.

Anyway I may be unlucky in Arch Puppy. May be due to some conflict with other programs.

wow! Very Impressed, the things this can do are great!
And the win$ and puppy versions actually handle the same to the user.

If Eyes-Only says it's good then I must try it
Seems like some Slimboat developers found this thread so I guess it will be good if they keep it compatible with puppy from early versions.
With all these mainstream browsers going heavy on size and resources we pupians always like to find something like this as long as it has enough functionality and compatibility with current web standards, that's why I still use seamonkey but I'll test this ASAP.
Too bad it's not GPL/open source.

LOL Dejan! What makes ME such an authority all of a sudden?
Just for the record here I haven't done any "official" browser work in literally years my friend. Since retiring I now just play around with them all - and I now prefer this state far better over the former. This way I don't feel guilty if I want to use another browser other than something based solely upon Gecko.
Thanks for that vote of confidence just the same though my friend!
Cheers/Amicalement,
Eyes-Only

I know what you mean
OK, sooo... I tried this on my puppy, it does seem fast, flash won't work for me though I tried to copy libflashplayer.so from seamonkey plugins dir to slimboat/plugins; slimboat/libs; slimboat/plugins/codecs; and /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins - is that where it's usually located in lucid/precise since I understand it works out of the box there?
Also I noticed tab names and toolbar buttons don't always update according to current page.
EDIT: Oh yeah this is on dpup485, I installed generic linux 32bit package and added gstreamer libs from squeeze repo
