Wow, Macpup is so goddamn cool!
I'm in LOVE! Here's something I wrote that could be useful for it.
I'm also working on my E17 build script, trying to get it to work with minimal amount of segfaults - I removed some unstable modules and EFM. I also want to take all the Macpup customizations and put them in a PET, sort of a "delta" from a vanilla Puppy and Macpup, so E17 puplets are possible.
I still have no idea how you got rid of the "system" menu, that's something I'm going to research.
And by the way, I'd like to help with Macpup 5.3. IMHO, it's the most interesting puplet around, and not just because of E17 ... it's fun to tinker with stuff and get stuff workin'

For those of you who found this thread to find out how to install java officeile jre so there has been little change since the java's way to package installationene on. They make no longer a self-extracting archive but a tar.gz archive. So you just download ttheir official linux unspecified versions which is a tar.gz file and then you adjust the instructions from runtt21 a little bit. These adjustments I have described here.
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=678640#678640
But otherwise runtt21 thanks for your instructions it was a great help to me when I found out how it was adapted.
Regards Mikkel.
