List of compatible laptops

#1 Post by peppyy »

I'll start it off.
IBM Thinkpad 770z Orinoco gold classic wifi.
After a minor sound config.

Code: Select all

 modprobe cs4232 io=0x530 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=0 mpuio=0x330 mpuirq=9 synthirq=5 synthio=0x388
100% plug n play
Puppy Linux...
It just works!

That's great - but please, there is a wike entry for that :)

Hi.

So probably inserting this valuable information in the right wike space
is the thing to do..

Thanks for that.

PS
Have fun :)

This might be the page . . .
http://www.goosee.com/puppy/wikka/LaptopsWorking

and if anyone is up for an alphabetical listing would be nice?

It really is fun too . . .
I am tempted but will leave it for someone else to enjoy themselves . . .

Ok Lobster I've added this laptop to the list and rearranged it alphabetically.

Maybe we should have a sticky with a link to the Wiki hardware page.

Great list! I can't wait to see the family grow.

I just can't tell enough folks about Puppy, bet I have given away 6 cd/s already. I compaired this to a new xp dell laptop the other day and side by side it beat the dell speed wise on every test. Wireless speed, Open 12 page .doc etc.
Boot time was a real laugh.
Only missed out on the video speed.

Got a real good offer on her but she is a part of the family now. Guess I will have to build them one
Puppy Linux...
It just works!
