WANTED: Your 'Packages-puppy-*' files...

#1 Post by sc0ttman »

Hi everyone,

I wanna build a list of all available `Packages-puppy-*` files, and `Packages-ubuntu-*`, `Packages-debian-*`, etc, etc ...

In case you're wondering, it for the thing here: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 097#685097

I would like the file itself, and the URL(s) which it uses..
Cos I am building a list in this format:

name|extension|repofile|url1|url2|url3|url4|...

Example:

lucid|pet|Packages-puppy-lucid-official|http://blah|http://blah2| ....

I do not know the naming conventions or available 'Packages-*' files/repos/versions for all the ubuntu and debian (and other?) pups ....

I also don't fancy downloading and browsing every recent pup...

Hope you can help,
Cheers.

No takers? Anyone could do it...

Your Package-puppy-* and Package-ubuntu-* (etc) files are in /root/.packages/ (it's a hidden folder)..

All you need to do is copy the file, add a .gz extension (to make it a fake .gz file for this forum), then upload here, with the URL that is used with that repo...

I would be grateful... As I could get most files myself, but it'd take a while, and I would still not know which URLs are used with each file/repo...

Hi scot,

Do you need this information for Wary also? I'm thinking you probably already have it.

Hi guys,

Thank Monsie, but I already have the wary stuff, you're right..

Jamesbond, thank for the list, and you're welcome for SJPPLOG.. What are you using it for?

I had a few more features planned for it, like adding optional support for a nice jquery csv to graph thing, etc... but I though no one ever used it... it seems not to work right on the monkey webserver as well, which is a shame, cos monkey is tiny and works quite well generally..

BTW if anyone has debian repo files and URLs, old and new debian versions, that would be great...
